Wednesday, 6th of January 2021 was a shameful day in the illustrious history of the United States- one of the biggest democracies in the world. There was an attempted coup by the supporters of Donald Trump, the President supposed to be leaving his office to Joe Biden of the Democratic Party.  There was visible chaos as images from this supposed takeover of the Capitol started flooding the internet.  Some supporters even made it inside the Capitol dressed as Vikings, and were also seen spotted sitting in the speaker’s chair.

For us onlookers, it offered a mix of amazement and disgust at this embarrassing state of affairs. People online questioned the state of security in place, the audacity of the protestors to still be in denial of Donald Trump’s Loss and of course Donald Trump’s incitement of the protests.

So, what role did Donald Trump play in all this?

Mr. Donald Trump, in his address to thousands gathered in “Save America” rally claimed to have won the election by a landslide, and even said that we are going to the Capitol to those gathered. Another denial of the fact that he had not won the presidential elections. This incited the crowds to march to the Capitol in ab bid to take it over where the Congress were meeting to certify Joe Biden’s win in the US presidential elections.

Things lead to one another, and protestors barged the Capitol, creating havoc of the place in which about five people reportedly died. This action also lead to Donald Trump getting banned from all notable social media apps and websites including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram among others.

It was not appreciable to see Mr. Donald Trump conduct himself in the way he did. And it was expected that a leader followed by masses will not try to alter the constitutional transition of power. Finally, I will lead you to ponder on the question on if social media should display a message of caution on the posts of popular people to reduce the overreaction on a reaction.

The person asked Donald Trump in a recent presidential address to explain in detail how he would handle the climate issue while considering job growth. He replied:-

Look at china it’s filthy. Look at Russia, look at India, it’s filthy. The air is filthy.

There are many indicators of air pollution. and various parameters are used for each indicator so that they any error can be ignored. we get only a general idea or relative idea from this data. One index is given below:-

From this data we can say that India and China are among the 10 most polluted countries in the world. The air quality level falls below the hazardous category which is a major cause for concern. Trump is therefore right in calling India and China pollution in terms of global pollution levels.

Every year in September and October the weather gets worse. The main reason for this is the massive burning of paralis (leftout of wheat crops ) in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The burning of fireworks at weddings and on Diwali made the situation worse. Winter day situation in Delhi is shown below:-

The explanation India has elevated levels of air and water contamination is a result of the oblivious masses. We as a whole have gotten master in refusing to accept responsibility for the issues at hand. We sit at homes and condemn the legislature that they aren’t busy. The sections relating to climate in schools and universities have become a simple joke, and the majority of us don’t focus on them.

The Indian and American relations are on a neighborly note. A year ago PM Modi visited United states and this year Trump visited India. Trump should abstain from offering such remarks when gotten some information about his country. He ought to consistently recall that it is this unsanitary nation that provided United States 50 million Hydroxychloroquine tablets in the hours of Coronavirus crisis. He ought to likewise recollect that probably the greatest organization on the planet is going by an individual conceived in this tarnished country. In the past additionally America has consistently been incredulous of India. The Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) was marked to keep different nations out of getting advantages of atomic innovation. After the fruitful consummation of Pokhran-2, India got a great deal of reaction from America. They even forced a great deal of assents on India. It was a result of the incredible initiative of our then head administrator Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji that in a couple of years the Indian-American relations improved once more.

Impact of Donald Trump’s decision to ban Muslim countries

The case of Muslim ban by Donald Trump bars citizens of seven Muslim majority countries for entering the US for the period of 90 days. It also suspends the United States refugee system for a period of 120 days. According to MR Trump his decision will help keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the US. The countries which are effected are Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, Yemen and Iraq.

I believe that the decision taken by trump will benefit less to US than it will raise harms to the innocent people. There are many people those who will be effected. For ex people who were out of US are not given permission to enter US. Their whole life style stays impacted. Moreover IT industries will also be impacted as employees who are sent for onsite works will have to return back. There is US Syrian refugee program that gave accommodation to 12486 Syrians in 2016. They have reduced the cap on the total number of refugees
from 1, 10,000 to 50,000.

Also it has violated many laws that includes giving preference to Christian refugees over Muslim refugees. The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 says there should be ban of discrimination against immigrants on the basis of national origin. Mr Trump is violating this act also. It also violates the first amendment on freedom of religion.

So at last to pen off, I think the decision taken by Donald Trump seems to have lot of sufferings. The benefit out of it is not visible as of now. It will ultimately disturb the relations of US with the other countries.

Ban on Immigrants!!!

US president, Donald Trump has recently signed an executive order banning refugees from six countries from 120 days. Ban on Syrian refugees is for indefinite time period. It is not important whether these six countries are Muslim countries or not, it is the question of humanity.

United State of America has always been the favorite destination for immigrants from all over the world. On that context, decision by US President has questioned the existence of all the immigrants in US. Currently, US immigrant population stood at more than 42.4 million or 13.3 percent of the total US population. So, if US continues with this BAN on these seven countries and even adds more countries in the list in future, it will definitely affect US economy.  All the famous US universities offer higher education to the students from all over the world. If this ban continues, the diversification, the unique feature of these universities, will not be there. Not only in the education sector, in the work force also the immigrants play a major role to control the economy.

Mr. Donald Trump defended himself as he wants to erase terrorism from US. But does terrorism belong to any country? The children from these countries could have studied in any of the US universities and could even play a major role to progress US economy. Those children are not at all part of the terrorism, so why they are paying off? Terrorism is a disease that can’t be stopped in this way. Education, economic development can be a remedy of this problem, not a ban on any immigrants will solve it.

U.S. withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership

Trans Pacific Partnership(TPP) is an agreement negotiated by 12 countries: the United States, Canada, Mexico, Peru, and Chile in the Americas, and Japan, Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, and New Zealand in the Asia-Pacific. Together, they comprise almost 40 percent of the world’s gross domestic product. The pact aimed to deepen economic ties between these nations, slashing tariffs and fostering trade to boost growth. Members had also hoped to foster a closer relationship on economic policies and regulation.  Not only does TPP slash tariffs, it contains anti-corruption measures, intellectual property obligations, human rights, child labor conditions and environmental commitments.

The agreement was designed so that it could eventually create a new single market, something like that of the EU.

Former President Barack Obama treated trade deals as a priority during his tenure, and this particular deal would have bolstered America’s position in the Asia-Pacific region, where China is growing in influence.

But Donald Trump exploited a misconception that TPP would lead to a loss of U.S. jobs. The rationale Trump has given for withdrawing from TPP is that it disadvantaged American industry and intensified competition between the member countries’ labor forces. He believes that dealing directly with individual countries on a one to one basis in negotiating future trade deals would me more beneficial for the United States of America.

This is not entirely convincing. According to a study, TPP would have led to only a 0.1% increase in U.S. labor market churn and added 9% to U.S. exports by 2030.

It is hard to see who exactly benefits from the United States’ withdrawal from TPP. Certainly, the U.S. industry and other TPP members will be disappointed. Trump’s decision has already been criticized by some American political leaders, including fellow members of the Republican Party. Trump will gain credibility with some of his base by actually fulfilling one of his more contentious campaign promises, but that base is weak to begin with, and unless there are tangible gains in manufacturing jobs, the electoral impact is likely to be negligible.
