Uttarakhand is in a crisis situation and it doesn’t seems to be resolved any time sooner as Supreme Court stays High Court order for the President’s Rule in the beautiful state. harish rawat , the present chief minister of Uttarakhand seems to have lost the political plot there.

The state right now had the Congress Government and it doesn’t looks like that it would be there for much long. With the High Court passing orders for the President’s rule and the backing of Supreme Court makes it a clear picture of the government to be dismantled in the state.

Congress leaders are accusing the Central Government led by BJP as the reason behind this political turmoil. The verdict effectively re-imposes President’s Rule in the state. On 27 March, the BJP-led government at the Centre had imposed President’s Rule in Uttarakhand, leading the Congress, which was in power, to term it as a ‘murder of democracy.’ The judgement gives a new turn to the continuing political drama in the state.

The apex court’s order comes a day after the High Court’s order setting aside President’s Rule led to jubilation in the Congress camp. The order had been termed as a setback for the central government.
Before passing a brief order, a bench comprising Justices Dipak Misra and Shiva Kirti Singh recorded an undertaking given by Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi that the “Union of India shall not revoke the Presidential proclamation till the next date of hearing”.

The apex court clarified that it was keeping in abeyance the judgement of the High Court till the next date of hearing on 27 April as a measure of balance for both the parties as the copy of the verdict was not made available to the parties.
While listing the matter for hearing on 27 April, the bench said that the High Court shall provide the judgement passed on Thursday to the parties by 26 April and on the same date the copy of the verdict shall also be placed before the apex court.

The apex court issued notice to Harish Rawat and Chief Secretary of the state on the petition by Centre challenging the quashing of Presidential proclamation under Article 356 of the Constitution in the state.

Thus we see that its just the matter of time that the Congress Government is uprooted from it’s last remaining ruling states and becoming a regional party .
