Look back into the history of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – Itihaasa

The IT industry has transformed from once a found It setup to everyday use It boom. It has recorded the total revenue of  $146 billion as estimated in 2015. The proliferation of It and It based startups in India have made it as the third largest It hub in the world. The It industry has been an expert in launching apps that led the world wandering and mesmerized with the advent of technology. ‘Itihaasa’ is the application launched by Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalkrishnan which showcases how the It industry has surpassed all levels of growth.

Itihaasa is one of the largest chronicles of its kind with 600 videos featuring 40 technology stalwarts. With over 37 hours of footage and 350 articles and archived photographs, it can be downloaded free on ios app and android. Some of the tech giants who shared their experiences are N R Narayana Murthy, Azim Premji, S Ramadorai, Nandan Nilekani and others. It has a feature where users can personalize their content feed. The app leaves its users nostalgia struck by showcasing a journey from first modern computer of the world in 1995 to gazing into the future in 2040.

As It industry has transformed the people from absolutely technology averse to technology savvy, the young entrepreneurs still back up on the It for their prosper future. I hope Itihaasa is a nostalgia tinged walk for everybody and continues to inspire people to bring about modern changes in Information Technology.
