Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it’s Real Madrid’s superman mighty Cristiano Ronaldo. It’s not easy to be a superstar, you have to be at your best all the time, need to do wonders for your team regularly and obviously answer the criticisms through your work. All these things define Ronaldo who once again showed his charisma and proved why he is the world’s best.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick sent Real Madrid into the semi-finals of the Champions League after the Spanish giants overturned a first-leg deficit in a 3-2 aggregate win over Wolfsburg. Ronaldo, so often Real’s savior , cancelled out Wolfsburg’s two-goal advantage within 88 first-half seconds at the Bernebeu and his free-kick in the 77th minute proved decisive as Real Madrid booked their spot in the last four in style.

Their German opponents would have felt optimistic of sealing a first-ever semi-final spot in Europe’s elite club competition after winning 2-0 at the Volkswagen Arena last Wednesday, but they were simply unable to contain Ronaldo.

As anticipated, the visitors were penned deep inside their own half from the off. They just could not cope up with the plethora of attacks from Madrid. The fans in Bernebeu also acted like the twelfth man who supported their time like anything. It was a magical night altogether with an awesome comeback by Real Madrid fuelled by a mettlesome display by Ronaldo.
