Are smart cities the epiphany of ‘the growth story’?

The following article is based on my own interpretation of the said events. Any material borrowed from published and unpublished sources has been appropriately referenced. If there had been any topic that had instantly caught the nerve of any Indian, it was how profusely we were predicting our decade-long growth story. Long have we been admired for our ‘diplomatic’ skills but the threat that now looms upon the ‘superheroes’ of modern world upon the advent of young sinister has raised concerns over their forehead. The frequency of expert comments and ‘Nastredamusians’ predictions about how to be or how not be is rumoured across every nook and corner of the country. And, why would the esteemed citizens deny themselves with these opportunities to be  a scholarly ‘Socrates’?

So, once the talk of the smart city was publicly announced, it was only a matter of time that it would become the talk of the town. We had discovered something of substance and this something has raised the expectations of every young and old philosophist of this country. All the age boundaries have been dissolved and it has been like Martin’s I have a dream speech, in the presence of a grander audience.

Chinese have already been declared dead as we are growing more rapidly than them without ‘devaluating’ ourselves and the US’s are already busy in selecting their POTUS. So, here comes our window of opportunity where we can shut them up and pull them down.

So, Martin if you ever had a dream, we will also keep coming with our dreams, for we not only love our country we love to plan big for ourselves. Don’t underestimate us with the slight tumble of the market because this might be our another strategy to surprise you down. It might not be the era of Krishna or Shakuni but there always be a Chanakya to pull Ashoka’s victory lap.

100 is the number you should be wary about because already in the era of 20-20 we have started planning for 25. So, lest you forget there still a lot left with the flip of that coin which we are still carrying in our pocket. Act like Dhritarashtra as much as you can but Arjun will still prevail because we already have Krishna by our side.

Thank you!
