Arvind Kejriwal — A new name,a new brand, a new trend today ——— Was a representative of any middle class Indian family yesterday. He is the Chief minister of Delhi today, who came like a comet without large number of vote bank politics but created a huge number of fans. When Kejriwal took the oath on 14th February 2015 in Ramleela Maidan, most of the people thought that the new era in Politics began. This hope is created only in 2 years. The Anna Hazare movement gave birth to leader Arvind Kejriwal. Between his resignation for the post of Chief Minister and coming back and forming the government after winning the “Bidhansabha Election in Delhi” by huge margin never really changed.
Where other political leaders think and treat themselves as VVIP’s, he remained as an exception.Nobody ever imagined that a red muffler and chronic cough can also become an ingredient of branding. He is also known as “Muffler Man”. But nobody has seen him as opposition. Now we have to rule.Power creates changes. Mamata Banerjee created sensation as a opposition during CPI(M) ruling government whereas only after only 4 years of ruling, somehow most people of Bengal lost the hope.Even after the proletariat revolution in Soviet Union, leader like Yeltsin came.
But whatever be the outcome, common people will elect someone outside this rotten politics in a new hope and the success of ‘Muffler Man’ cannot be underestimated. His “Aam- aadmi” policy affected the other leader’s candidate selection also — they choose their candidates from common people, not from elite class. Modi used his old “Chai-wala” avatar & Rahul Gandhi went to remote villages home common people preferred Kejriwal’s indiscipline over the useless discipline of ruling leaders. Roma Rola ideally said “Where order is injustice, disorder is the beginning of Justice”.
But the victories of BJP at the centre and the AAP in Delhi will lead to a conflict as both will be complelled to prove their success.May be Kejriwal wants to do something good on the poverty and unemployment problems but that is not possible if conflicts exists or increases with BJP Centre. Moreover, as Kejriwal came with the “Aam -aadmi” concept, now a days, whenever he is taking minimum advantages like chief minister or installing AC machines, questions are arising via social media or press.
The concept of “Aam- Janata” is also not clear. There are different caste, religion, economic level & education level in the common population. So these political movements as directed towards and for the middle class. Kejriwal came in power,it’s not that he is not trying, but he is also getting the point it’s not easy to solve all problems of common man in this diversified population. It will be just like giving a coating over rotten wood. Moreover, when a person comes in power, his popularity decreases, this is the rule of nature. Only time will show— Kejriwal can live up-to the hope of common man, specially young generation or not.
