With reference to dated March 11, 2015 government is planning to shutdown air India. Air India is the only government owned International carrier in India. Once upon a time this airline was market leader and many youngsters were just waiting for an opportunity to work with this company

From that stature at present airline reached such a position that not even a single person turned up for the job walk-in organized by the company. According to India times dated March 13, 2015 no one turned up for job walk-in organised by the company.

At last government is planning to shutdown the company. Though government did not come to conclusion on above fact this clearly indicates increasing risk in airline industry. The above allegations is strengthened by the facts such as shut down of kingfisher airlines, operation difficulties faced by Spicejet. Government should take measures to find the loop holes in Indian air line industry and form suitable regulations for sustaining the market of this industry.
